What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They make the website work, remember your basket and help us understand how the site is used.
Cookies we use
| Type | What it does | Examples (set by Shopify) | Needs your consent? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps your basket, checkout, language and security working | cart, cart_sig, secure_customer_sig, localization, keep_alive | No |
| Analytics | Counts visits and shows which pages are used, so we can improve the shop | _shopify_y, _shopify_s | Yes, where the law requires |
| Marketing | Only if we run adverts: shows relevant ads and measures them | Set by advertising partners such as social media or search companies, if enabled | Yes |
Exact names and lifetimes can change as Shopify updates its service. Essential cookies last from the length of your visit up to about a year.
Your choices
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you Accept or Decline non-essential cookies. If you decline, only the essential cookies are used and the shop still works. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your cookies or using the privacy settings in your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the shop (such as the basket) may then stop working. Guidance: ico.org.uk or allaboutcookies.org.
